OOTD: THANKSGIVING DAY 2011

I am SO thankful! Not just on Thanksgiving Day, but everyday, for what the Lord has given me! These past few years have been such a joy, finding myself and learning to love myself! Not only that, I have been so blessed to have awesome, loving and supporting people around me. My marriage to my husband has increased the number of people that love and support us and I am grateful for them! I am blessed to sleep in peace, with a feeling that I am well protected, not only by my husband in the flesh, but God in the spirit. I am blessed to wake up each morning and open my eyes and SEE, to STEP out of my bed on my two functioning legs, to kiss my kids and husband as we part our separate ways to engage in our daily activities with the peace of mind that God will protect us while we are a part from each other. I am blessed to have food in my home when I come home to prepare dinner for my family each night. There are so many blessings and small things that we take for granted and we need to remember to be thankful for each and every blessing that we have because everyone may not be as fortunate. We need to raise our kids to be grateful for the things that they have and to be giving to one another. Not just during the holiday season, but we should have a giving heart year round! Let thanksgiving not be a day of thanks, but a reminder to be thankful for all that we have EVERYDAY!

Here are a few pics of my son's last minute Indian costume that my husband and I created for him. I totally forgot that he was supposed to dress up for their "feast" at school the next day, so right before bed my husband and I had to be creative. Funny thing is, when I went to visit his school, all of the parents and kids were asking about his costume. He ended up having one of the best looks, lol...

I wish that I had taken pictures of the detail on the arrows my husband made. He also made the sack for him to carry his arrows on his back and head band. I cut the feathers and fringed the clothes ;)
