KIDNAPPED GIRL FINDS HER OWN MOM AFTER 23 YEARS!!!

DNA test confirms now-adult woman’s suspicion she didn’t belong with family raising her...

More than two decades ago, a newborn sick with fever was snatched from a New York City hospital, her frantic mother returning to the emergency room to find an empty crib. On Wednesday, police said the baby — now a woman who reached out to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children because she suspected that the people raising her were not her real family — has been found.

Carlina White was just 19 days old when she disappeared from Harlem Hospital on Aug. 4, 1987. Police searched for her kidnappers but never found enough evidence to charge any suspects. Her mother, Joy White, always had a feeling that her baby was alive, her family said.

"I never gave up looking for her," she told the New York Post.

On Jan. 4, a woman known as Nejdra Nance, who was raised in Bridgeport, Conn., and now lives in Atlanta, contacted Joy White, sending along baby photos that looked nearly identical to shots of Carlina posted on a missing children's website. Nance told White she thought she might be her daughter.

Nance had long suspected that the people raising her were not her real family. After she found a photo of a familiar-looking girl on the website of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, she got in touch with the organization, which in turn contacted Joy White on Jan. 4.

PRODUCT REVIEW: ELF BEAUTY BOOK-NEUTRAL EYES

I know a lot of bloggers try to say something nice about products when they do reviews. Whether the reviews are sponsored, they are just trying to be nice or whatever. But I am the type of person that likes to keep it real. I can't hide my feelings, and I actually decided to do this review just to let everyone know just how much I HATE THIS PRODUCT! It absolutely sucks. I really cannot think of anything good that I could say about this. If I did I would be lying. The pigmentation SUCKS, the colors do not show up on my skin at all. I mean, there really is nothing more to say except save your $5.00 and put it toward something else. I can't think of anything that would be a bigger waste of money than this cheap, horrible palette. I guess the old saying is true, you get what you pay for. I though this might be a cheap thrill to play around with and try different looks, but that is definitely not the case!

Maternity tummy tuckers??? Spanx sucks in pregnant fans???

You’ve heard about celebrities rocking them on the red carpet — Gwyneth Paltrow even copped to wearing two pairs after she had her babies. Brides wear them to look their most willowy on their wedding day, voluptuous women use them to curb their curves and even men wear them to mute their muffin tops. But did you ever imagine they would be a tool for pregnant women to boost their bellies?

It’s true. Spanx by Sara Blakely has launched a series of supportive, sucking-in tights, panties and leggings geared to the maternity market.

The company launched a maternity version of its Power Panties called Power Mama in spring 2007 and recently launched a lower-priced collection called Assets Marvelous Mama at Target that includes maternity shapers, opaque tights and leggings.

Consumers' take on the products:
“They're to suck in your a-- and thighs, not your gut. And believe me, looking hot in a dress when you're preggo can do a lot for a girl's self-esteem. Empowerment means the choice to have a smooth butt even if there is a bun in the oven.”

“I'm not going to knock anything that anyone finds helpful and comfortable near the end of their pregnancy. I was soooooo in love with my (hideous) elastic support belt. Third trimester is CRAZY and I don't think anyone is wearing that to look slim... sometimes a little support is a good thing.”

Spanx’s Blakely said the overall response to the product has been remarkable. “We get tons of e-mails from pregnant women thanking us for the under-belly and low-back support provided in our maternity line,” she told TODAYshow.com. “I didn’t quite understand until I was pregnant myself, and wore Power Mama maternity shaper shorts almost every day from months five to nine. There is absolutely no compression in the tummy area, and the waistband is super soft. The fact they make your butt and thighs look less jiggly and more toned is a side benefit.”

I actually like the idea of being held in everywhere and having a smoother appearance overall. I am now 5 months along and may purchase a pair of the cheaper alternative, by Assets, at the end of this month. What do you guys think about the invention?

PRODUCT REVIEW: ST. IVES APRICOT SCRUB

ST. IVES APRICOT SCRUB IS MY FAV FACIAL SCRUB. THIS PRODUCT HAS RECEIVED MANY AWARDS AND IT'S VERY REASONABLY PRICED. I USED TO USE THIS STUFF EVERYDAY, BUT THOUGHT IT WAS A LITTLE ROUGH ON MY SKIN. IT'S A GRITTY SCRUB THAT HELPS TO DEEP CLEANSE YOUR PORES AND WORKS GREAT. NOW THAT I HAVE FOUND A CLEANSER THAT WORKS GOOD WITH MY SKIN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO USE SOMETHING TO TAKE THE DEAD SKIN AWAY. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT THIS TIME I WILL BE USING IT 2-3 TIMES PER WEEK INSTEAD OF EVERYDAY. HAVE YOU TRIED THIS PRODUCT? DO YOU KNOW OF A REALLY GOOD SKIN CARE PRODUCT THAT YOU THINK I SHOULD TRY? I HAVE BEEN ON A QUEST TO FIND THE PERFECT COMBO FOR A WHILE AND I AM DEF OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS!
